Stacia and Setsuna just move in different sorts of circles when it comes to manipulative people. Though Stacia can genuinely play nice as much as any other girl socialized to play that way.

Stacia raises an eyebrow at the phrasing, though not a particularly suspicious one. She knows Setsuna's not from America from her earlier comment about prom, but she talks about Japan the same way Stacia and her siblings talk about Russia.

"My parents are immigrants, too," she says. "Russian. They weren't too concerned with preserving our connection to 'the old country' either."
