The library's lights are all out and the doors are locked. But they can be jimmied open by someone determined enough with something as simple as a screwdriver.

The library inside is old fashioned to say the least. No computers; the most advanced piece of technology is a microfiche. Everything is organized by card catalogue, and there are multiple dusty rooms of local materials: one for newspapers, one for local history reference materials.

There's also a darkened basement. While other lights can be turned on in the library if the two of them dare risking discovery, the ones in the basement apparently can't. Hope you brought a flashlight
