Sirius was a wizard and even now he felt (mostly) confident he had enough magic to stave off an attack. But he was also human and deep down inside him was that instinctive fear of something large and deadly. A shiver ran down his spine as Alloran's tail swished and it eyed him.

It was thrilling. He hadn't had this kind of excitement in ages.

He smiled. "Thanks for showing me."
