Who: The Teen Squad
What: Teen Squad Party Time!
Where: The bowels of the Rig.
When: After paintball funtimes.
Warnings/Notes: idk, awkward teenagers. Possibly bad attempts at flirting. Undoubtedly Dave's language.
Origami shuriken. With disappearing ink. They make their way into the hands of the teenager contingent of the New Hires, sometimes landing in laps, appearing in pockets as if by magic, or sweeping across their vision, inches away from their face.
On it, printed very carefully, is a simple message. Follow the arrows written on the steam distribution pipes tonight. Don't tell anyone. Bring an idea for something fun.
The last bit is because, unfortunately, Tenten's never exactly been to a party with other teenagers before. She stopped really having more than a tiny gathering with her shinobi squad when she was eleven. When she turned seventeen on the Rig, she didn't even think to mention it. But the teens need to have some downtime of their own, some sort of party, and the last time she hosted a get together, it was just some barbecue and drinks with her fellow kunoichi and the Hokage as a surprise guest.
Not exactly possible here.
...Or, rather, it wouldn't be if Jorgmund had its way.
Very few people on the Rig realize just what she can do. Part of this is that she simply hasn't told anyone, assuming blindly that they know what she can do as soon as she brings up that she's a ninja. One of these things? Storage. Jorgmund gave Tenten her scrolls back and, while she was on the mission, she managed to put them to use. You see, her skill is with time-space ninja magic. She can seal things into other things. Like, say, stealthily sneaking an ox corpse into her scroll. And a boar corpse. And some ingredients from the kitchen, quietly lightfingered over a period of weeks. The ox and boar are the critical bits, though, the Rig doesn't raise cows or pigs. They're too much of a strain on resources. It's only from an outside source that Tenten could score these meats, and only through her particular talents that they could stay fresh and hidden this long.
One of the tricks to this is that the things she stores don't age. So when she makes a batch of noodles and stores it, it stays stored. When she slices cabbage and seals it away, she can pull it out a week later and it'll be as fresh as the day she cut it.
There are brighter things to do with this, she knows, but Tenten thinks that the upsides, the morale boost, the getting to know each other, is more important. So she's dumped all of her carefully stolen stores of food into one night, cooking it over a series of nights. It's been exhausting, only snatching three hours of sleep a night or so, but it got things done.
The hardest part was finding a secure area. But, after scouting things out, she found an unlocked maintenance tunnel that lead her to discover a large room far in the bowels of the rig where, most importantly, there weren't any fire alarms to go off. It's here that she sets everything up, in a large, echoing chamber meant for vehicle maintenance that ended up being in a terrible position for vehicles once construction was complete. Now it was easily used for her purposes, filled with the tools of her planned night.
A table. Drinks. Tea, punch, water, soda, all stolen from the mess hall. Chicken soup. Roasted pork ribs. Beef stir fry. Scrambled eggs with tomatoes. Rice. Fried rice with pork or beef. Fried chicken nuggets. Egg drop soup. Egg rolls. Fried noodles. Bread rolls, shaped like little cats. It's been days of work, weeks of preparation, lost sleep, frantically reworking recipes that she couldn't manage with the mess hall's limited selection of ingredients.
But she hopes it'll be worth it. All she's got to do now is settle in and wait.
[[So, just come in. Mingle. Eat. Tenten's actually a pretty good cook.
We'll do up posts for specific party games in a day or two.]]

"I've only been to my world and this one, so I have no idea," Stacia says. "I don't even know how many people here have actual werewolves in their worlds rather than just stories about werewolves."
Stacia shudders dramatically. "If I never end up ankle deep in any liquefied animal again, it'll be too soon."

She draws a face at the memory, but there's nothing to add there. Just two teenagers, joined in shared disgust over demon pork slurries.

Remember when you were asking all those questions earlier, Tenten? Have a sort of round-about explanation for the non-answers, now that the conversation isn't in text format for just anyone to go over later.

That's making a bit more sense now, yes.

In trying to keep her rationalization from sounding too blunt, she turns it into a question, but not exactly one she expects an answer to.

Stacia laughs and shakes her head. "Oh man, don't get me started on breeding and bloodlines. There's always some kind of douchebags running around acting like the fact that their family tree is a single stick makes them better than other people. But no one knows how it works. Believe me, a lot of people would like to -- allies and enemies."
