It's the Holiday Season in the Gone Away World and on the Rig in particular! Though they claim to be open to any cultural celebration of this time of year, the dominance of Santa Claus, reindeer, and elves in decorating really kind of blunt that claim. But the PA system, when not blaring alarms or fuzzy announcements for working party C to show up at the maintenance bay, play Christmas tunes of all sorts at inconvenient volumes. Decorations hang limply from the walls. And every worker with children has been issued a shotgun and a bandoleer of shells loaded with pellets of cold iron.

"Sounds like a plan to me," North says, placing a game piece to set up Theta's first move. "He's so happy you thought of doing this, it's permeating his thoughts."

[infailtration]

"Every now and then I have a good idea," he quips, setting a piece down. "And I've missed you both."

"We've missed you too, buddy," North says. "I honestly wondered if we'd ever see you again."

[infailtration]

"Same here." He rolls some playing pieces around in his hand thoughtfully. "We actually looked for you a couple times, but you guys really covered your tracks."

[bothbarrels]

"We had to," North says. "There was no way I was giving up Theta to them. So we had to stay out of reach."

Though now he knows what his sister was doing in the background. That bothers him. He doesn't bring it up, though.

[infailtration]

"Yeah, I get it. We kept running too. Thought about going back for Wash, too, but. There just was no way."

York doesn't exactly have regrets, he's just upset about it all.

"Same here," North says. "Even sometime later, it wasn't possible."
