Take a Trip Into My Garden
Who: Anyone who needs something in the garden, and/or a hug
What: Bunny is at work in his slice of the garden and friends are hanging out.
Where: The gardens, under the oak tree where Bunny and Gadget live.
When: Amid Christmas shenanigans.
Warnings/Notes: n/a yet
Maybe you're here because Jorgmund is a stressful place and the garden is a calm and bright and green refuge against the dingy unpleasantness of the rest of the Rig. Maybe you're here because Jorgmund is stingy with the fresh fruit and you want a snack, and sometimes the easiest thing to do is bypass the cafeteria and go to the source.
Or maybe you are just here to talk to Bunny, who is hard at work applying his plant-growing powers in his small space by the garden's only oak tree, where he sleeps in a hollow under its roots instead of in the room they assigned to him, way back when. The oak tree helps to make up for the lack of space by functioning as a hanging planter, but the rest of the space around it is still built up in stacked tiers of plants efficiently potted to support each other, the dry-loving plants lofted high to drip into the ones that like their toes wet. It's an efficient use of an incredibly small space to grow an incredible variety of magically useful and food-bearing plants.
Right now, Jorgmund has insisted he grow poinsettias en masse for the executive decor, and the inefficient use of his plot is annoying him more than usual. He's applying his power to the oak tree, adding strength to one branch to be able to hang more poinsettia planters from it, when company arrives. Or he's roaming the rest of the agriculture, evaluating that for efficiency and evidence to argue for or against the botanical tactics Jorgmund is already employing, when he comes across company.

[He doesn't even need to specify that that's a lie, right?
But it's kind of funny that Bunny's actually taking him seriously enough to be this cautious. His grin goes a bit sly as relaxes in Bunny's grip, crossing his arms and leaning them on a furry limb.]
Why, are you worried? Did you really think I'd try to kill the Easter Bunny? Even I'm not that evil. Besides, rabbit is way too gamey for my tastes!
no subject
[He frowns again.] Anyway what ARE you here for?
no subject
[That most be the most easily believable thing he's said yet.]
You said I could pet you if I saw you, riiight? Well, I just happened to be walking by and saw a giant ball of fluff! Of course I've gotta make good on that promise!
[He maaaaybe has something else in mind too, but no need to jump right into the deep end.
With a dramatic sigh, he slumps against Bunny's arm.]
But I barely got a chance to feel it since you tossed me off so fast...
no subject
Bunny heaves a long-suffering sigh that is maybe a quarter genuine. "Well, if I'm not a rabbit of my word," he mutters, and slings Kokichi back onto his back. "There you go. Now do you mind if I keep working? I got a quota to fill."
no subject
But it's nice, so he's hardly complaining. He slings his arms around Bunny's neck and leans his chin on a furry shoulder to get a peek at said work.]
Oh yeah, of course! I'd hate to be a bother.
[ sure jan ]
What are you working on, anyway?
no subject
[Call this resistance training. He'll get a little stronger with a kid on his back for a chunk of time, right? Sure.]
Oh, you know, I have the amazing ability to grow whatever food and flowers anyone on the rig could need, but it's limited here by whatever it is keeps me from havin' all my powers, and what do they demand I do with it? Grow poinsettias.
[Ugh. Two or three would be striking, but a whole hall full is just tacky.]
You'd think they'd want me to save a little more of this energy for avocadoes. Or potatoes. But no. And I do have to decide what's worth getting shocked or not over.
no subject
Really? [He says, even as he can clearly see Bunny doing crazy plant magic.] Huh. I thought Easter was all about eggs or something like that.
no subject
[He says it even as he works on adding another rosebush to his bower, a towering folksinger covered with pink blooms like a lady's spinning skirt, lovely and soft.]
no subject
[It's a suspicious hum, just exaggerated enough to suggest he isn't very serious about it. He leans heavily against Bunny, poking at a furry cheek.]
Are you...lying to me? I know where eggs come from.
no subject
[He has all this just . . . ready to go. Just prepared. Like he's amazed it's not a multiversal reality or something, ready to go.]
I ended about three famines with that one.
[oh my gosh. He's so important.]
no subject
[The weighty slump of a scrawny, shrimpy teen against Bunny's back. Can you feel his disappointment? You're just teasing him now.]
But how am I supposed to know how things work in alternate universes? I barely know how it works overseas! Do you still hide eggs and all that, or is that not actually a thing where you come from?
no subject
A Supreme Ultimate Leader's got to know international trade. If I can get the bioengineered flowers sown here, I'll get egg production going. You can stay on my back literally, but get off it figuratively, kid, it took me a while back when, and I had magic on my side.
[He'll . . . he'll look into it. He will.
no subject
[Not that that wouldn't be fun. Maybe someday. He has other things in mind at the moment.]
But now that I think of it, you've gotta be the master of hiding things, right?
no subject
no subject
[He hesitates a few moments before sighing and leaning into the soft fur.]
I kinda got off on the wrong foot with everyone, y'know? [Putting it mildly.] So I was thinking I could maybe put together something fun for everyone here? Like...a game! Games are my specialty, after all. And actions speak louder than words, right? And maaaybe your expertise would be super helpful?
[Ah. So he did have a goal all along. He sounds sheepish enough in admitting it, though.]
no subject
[His careful not yes, not no is still closer to a yes, and he knows it.]
I thought you got yourself on that foot on purpose, though?
no subject
Why would I want everyone to hate me? That sounds so lonely...
no subject
[and yet.]
So no one ever told you threatening to call an exterminator on someone who can talk generally gets a bad reception? I would've guessed a Supreme Leader would be able to logic that one out. Yet you're the Supreme Leader, threatening to call an exterminator on my treemate, so logically, doesn't it follow you were aiming not to be liked?
no subject
Ehh? I threaten to kill people all the time! That's like, my whole schtick as a Supreme Leader! She's not special or anything.
[He's...not even lying.]
Jeez, no one here has any sense of humor at all.
