ENDGAME - STOP THE RIG
Who: Anyone that wants in.
What: Busting the rig open
Where: Multiple Places
When: After Saturday exploded the situation
Warnings/Notes: Probably violence.
The end is near.
The signal for the nanochains is temporarily blocked but it won't last forever. Several things need to be done in a very short amount of time to end this thing in a way that isn't disastrous.
Aren't you all tired of being nice? Don't you just want to go apeshit?
[Note: All threads will be treated like a "splash page" where people just do the occasional tag to throw an action into the fray. There will be no tag order, please just tag the most recent tag on the thread.]

The strange transmitter tower inside is massive - and strangely liquid. It's almost squirming, liquid tech roiling up and down its surface, tinted with the gray color of Stuff. Long cords attached to it lead to consoles and monitors.
It's no wonder a deactivation code was necessary. It won't be easy to just destroy it, not when it's partly made of Stuff itself.
It'll be even harder because of the guards that start shooting towards the door. They're amassed in front of the tower. It's a large group, a small army. They're armed with more than guns. Some have large experimental weapons that cause small explosions on impact. There is at least some cover, due to other consoles and metal pillars.

Stacia dives for cover, shifting to Homid to make herself a smaller target and to allow more space for someone to take cover with her. This fight is bullshit and she doesn't want to do it: she's not playing bullet-catcher for this many bullets and this many people, much less whatever those bigger guns do. Fuck all of this.
She grabs the stop watch now falling off her human-sized thigh, presses the button -- and everything. Goes. Still.
She doesn't take the time to pause and admire the frozen chaos, she's got two minutes before everything unfreezes and she wants this taken care of before that happens. She rolls out from behind cover and runs barefoot toward the army of guards, her diminutive stature making it easier for her to slip through their formation. Not that she's careful of elbows or anything, knocking a few of these assholes off-balance won't hurt anyone she gives a shit about.
Within moments she's at the console of the spooky transmitter tower and hammering the code Cammie passed on to them onto the keys. She hits 'enter' with a flourish and -- nothing happens. Nothing happens, what the fu--
Oh, right, she's still got time on the clock. Thanks for nothing, sense of dramatics. She shifts to Crinos and wades back into the army of guards from behind, slapping them down with much more force than generated by her little human arms.
Tick-tock, down counts the clock...

When time unfreezes, the console chirps:
"DEACTIVATION CODE ACCEPTED. INITIATING FULL SHUTDOWN OF TRANSMITTER SUSTEM. INITIATING PERMANENT DEACTIVATION OF ALL ACTIVE RESTRAINT SYSTEMS. INIATING PERMANENT SHUTDOWN OF ALL ACTIVE METAPOWER SAFEGUARDS."
They all feel a strange buzzing sensation in their bodies where the collars were. Then a sense of them melting away. Maybe not being destroyed but going completely inert, like they're melting to nothing, merging with their tissues in a non-damaging way.
The deactivation code also causes every rig-based power suppression mechanism to go down. Anyone with restraint cuffs or mechanisms has them fall off. All metapower-based safeguards protecting areas and execs on the rig, like psi blockers, fields preventing intangibility, etc. go down.
Then a massive reaction happens, caused by a strange resonance due to the mostly inert Stuff in their bodies reacting to the power suppression deactivation. Even those who had their powers change simply by Stuff exposure, rather than Jorgmund interference, suddenly find themselves at full power, their powers exactly the same as back home. Those who gained new powers in the Gone-Away World find that they still have their new powers but their old powers are also fully restored.
The transmission affects everyone on the rig, causes these changes to every New Hire.
It's all over. All hell can now break loose, dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria!
The second time unfreezes ne soldier suddenly notices the soldiers Stacia hit falling around him. It takes half a second after the console chirps that it's deactivated everything for him to realize what's about to happen.
Then he turns and sees a fucking werewolf two feet away.
"Motherfucker," he says, bringing his gun up to aim at her. He probably won't have a chance to even pull the trigger.

"Woo! You boys are in a heap of trouble now," he shouts, tossing his bag of tanglevines almost as punctuation. He's careful to keep the bag aimed far enough away from Stacia so she doesn't get caught up in the 10-foot wide explosion of plants that start grabbing at everyone they can.

She doesn't have any special items saved up to throw into the chaos, but she has her armor and her guns back and that's more than enough. Carolina presses along the edge of the room, difficult to hit and frustratingly good at hitting back, picking off targets and drawing attention along a flank.

"Y'all'd be advised t' stay down," Remy drawls, another set of playing cards dropping into one hand, the other carrying a long, metal bo staff. "Ain't many of us in a charitable 'nough mood not to make you, after all."

Her C-10, designed as a long-range anti-materiel rifle, is massive overkill, and within the confines of even a large room, it doesn't make a difference whether you have your head exploded by spooky psychic powers or by a supersonic chunk of metal. The only thing that could identify those bodies is a gene scan.
cw: gore warning but nothing descriptive.
The tower is there, with nothing in their way now.
